How can we make exercise more fun than eating, gaming and netflix?

We all know exercise is good for us, but when you’re tired from a long day, it’s much easier to eat a chocolate orange. Although there’s no substitute for willpower, the FitBit showed you could encourage exercise by turning steps into a fitness ‘currency’ (e.g. how many steps have you done today?)

But what about activities that are so fun, you don’t even realise you’re exercising? I will talk about a few examples including the Shoreditch-BallPit-Bar, Pokemon-Go, Bounce-Below, Clubbercise, Air-Trekkers, Ice Skating, Pedal Boats, the peddle-fan at the Science Museum and many more…

Chris Pointon from ‘Racefully’ will then talk about combining multiplayer gaming with activity tracking to make walking, running and cycling groups available on-demand anywhere in the world.

If you have had any success making exercise more fun, please get in touch and i can include your ideas in my talk. Each talk will last 20 minutes with 10 minutes for question’s. My talk will begin at 7.00pm, Chris following at 7.30pm in the upstairs meeting room at the Red Bull Pub (up the narrow stairs). Bicycle and car parking is available, with food served from 6.00pm (we recommend the Pizza). Hope to see you on Wednesday 26th July!
