Nanotech at Google this weekend: ultimate QS tool?

June 20, 2011

For quantifying the self at the molecular level, we need nanotechnology.  This weekend is Foresight@Google, a conference on the latest nanotech and what’s coming in the field.

Highlights include Halycon Molecular on how they’re reading DNA base-by-base, including critical methylation patterns that other DNA reading methods miss.

Rob Meagley will describe prospects for sensors that can detect cancer.

And of special interest to current and would-be startups is the entrepreneurial panel addressing funding and how to survive the scary “Valley of Death” phase.

Because Foresight is a fan and ally of Quantified Self, there’s a discount: use the registration code QS for $50 off.

This Wednesday is the cutoff for registration.  Hope to see many Quantified Self folks at Google this weekend!

–Christine Peterson, president of Foresight and QS supporter
