Introducing “Personal Science Conversations” – a video series

June 15, 2020
Clockwise from upper left: Steven Jonas of Quantified Self, Sara Riggare of Uppsala University, Gary Wolf of Quantified Self, and Thomas Blomseth Christiansen of TOTTI Labs

At Quantified Self, we focus on the stories and projects of people in the community: their methods, discoveries, and even the tools that they build. Outside of the Show&Tell talks at our events, though, are constant conversations about everything having to do with personal science.

Behind the scenes of this website we have weekly decisions with our collaborators at Uppsala University, Totti Labs, and Radboud University. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of these discussions and wanted to share the spirit of these conversations with others.

So, we’ve started this web series. The idea is simple: we pick a topic related to personal science and discuss ita for approximately 30-45 minutes.

What you are seeing here is our minimum viable product. There is no intro music. No introductions. No segments. We just get right into it.

As we progress, we’ll add intros, show notes and all those other things that you would expect from a series like this. For now, we are focusing on being consistent and publishing these on a weekly basis. I hope you’ll join us.
